Graduation Healing Testimony

It was my (Maryanna) graduation, and one of my best friends and her 12-year-old daughter attended the ceremony. She is not a believer but wanted to support my accomplishment. Many people celebrated after the ceremony, taking pictures, and giving hugs, and there was much joy. Dr. Dan Griffiths, one of my professors, came over, and we had a small chat. Then, he approached my friend’s daughter and gave her unexpected prophetic words.

The prophetic words that he gave her, he told her God was going to do something big in her life. Dr. Dan said something like, “He will do something so big in your life that you and your family will know it was God. You will become a believer, and so will your family. It will happen soon. It will happen very soon this year, around October/ November.” My friend and her daughter are not believers, so they found this very strange. We continued to celebrate but thought nothing much of this small chat.

Two months later, my friend is recovering from a double mastectomy. By the grace of God, she did not have to receive chemo. Breast cancer runs in her family. Her mother is a two-time breast cancer survivor, and she just beat breast cancer herself. During recovery, her daughter came in with pain in her breast the young girl who received the prophetic word. They went to the emergency room. There, they were able to perform an ultrasound and they found two lumps: a large one and a smaller one. My friend was devastated.

The doctors wanted to move fast since breast cancer runs high in this family. A few weeks had passed since her last ultrasound, and there was some growth on this visit. The next doctor’s visit with a specialist would be soon, and they would determine what would happen next. Surgery and chemo were talked about for treatments.

During that time, I asked my friend if we could pray for her daughter. She was okay with us praying together. In the prayers, we prayed for healing in Jesus’ name, for the lumps to be gone, for the doctors not to be able to answer how this happened, and for the family to know that the healing came from the Lord. After the conversation, I continued to pray for the Lord to give this family your glory so they could become believers.

On the last visit to the specialist before scheduling the surgery, they wanted to check the size of the lumps a third time, but the lumps were gone! Both my friend and I then remembered the words Dr. Dan gave her daughter, that God would do something big. The enemy wanted cancer in another young girl, but God healed her instead. We are still praying for their salvation at this time, but we are very sure God is at work in their lives.
