Firm Foundations Associate’s Degree Guided Pathway
AA Biblical Studies
The Associate of Arts in Biblical Studies degree is a two-year degree offered to students for the purpose of providing an understanding of the primary doctrines of the Bible, as well as a deep understanding of the life and ministry of Jesus Christ and a selected number of specific books of both the Old and New Testaments.
The Firm Foundation Guided Pathway specifically prepares students to transfer to a 4-year college or university with transferable ready General Education modeled on the CSU/UC Associates Degree for Transfer (ADT).

General Education courses are grouped into several broad categories designed to encourage intellect and imagination of ideas and disciplines, while also fulfilling all lower division GE requirements.
- English Composition, Oral Communication and Critical Thinking (3 courses)
- Arts, Humanities and Ethics (3 courses)
- Math, Physical & Life Sciences (3 courses)
- Social/Behavioral Sciences (2 courses)
core requirements
(24 units)
24 units completed in Biblical Studies (courses with headings of OT, NT, BIB, TH, CL, or PM). Examples include:
- Study the Life of Jesus and Acts (3 courses)
- Theology of God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit (3 courses)
- Hermeneutics & Spiritual Gift Training (2 courses)
