affording college

If you are considering entering into a systematic study of Scripture, you will find NCBC affordable, aligned with today’s culture, doctrinally supportive of the Spirit, and rich in biblical revelation. For live or livestream courses offered at any of our San Francisco Bay Area locations, students can attend the first class session with no obligation to enroll. By the second class session students must make their decision to enroll by registering on Populi and paying their tuition and fees.

What is the difference between a graduate-level, undergraduate-level, or audit student?

Graduate-level: Full credit means that 3 units of graduate-level college credit are given at the completion of the coursework which count toward either our Masters of Arts (48 units) degree in Biblical and Practical Theology.

Undergraduate-level: Full credit means that 3 units of college credit are given at the completion of the coursework which count toward either our Associate of Arts (90 units) or Bachelor of Arts (180 units) degree in Biblical Studies.

Auditor: The student attends only for their personal enrichment. They are not required to do the course work or take the final exam. There is no credit given.

What is the difference between on-site and distance courses?

On-site classes: Every quarter some classes are offered at on-site locations or Zoom. These courses have a live lecture and interaction with other students and the professor at a set time each week. Students’ tuition and fees are due the second week of class. Payments are to be made on Populi using either check or credit card.

Distance classes: Many of the courses in the catalog are pre-recorded and can be done at any time. There is still homework, exams, and professor interaction with these courses. All tuition and fees are to be paid in full before course materials are started by the students. Payments are to be made on Populi using either check or credit card. Students pay for only one class at a time as they go.

Total Charges to Complete Degree Programs (excluding books & technology fee): Listed below are schedules of total charges for a period of attendance as well as an estimated schedule of total charges for the entire educational program. “Total charges” means the sum of institutional and non-institutional charges.

If you are sensing the call to increase your biblical knowledge, or perhaps ‘tool-up’ for a future career in ministry, Northern California Bible College can help provide you with a strong biblical foundation at a very reasonable price.

  or Registration Fees

For live or livestream courses offered at any of our San Francisco Bay Area locations, students can attend the first class with no obligation to enroll. By the second class session, students must make their decision to enroll by registering on Populi.

PAYMENT TIMING / SCHEDULE:

Student’s tuition and fees are due the second week of the term for live classes. Payments can be made through Populi at ncbc.populiweb.com with an Echeck (no fee) or credit card (3% processing fee) or students can mail a check to the main office, 1799 Winchester Blvd, Campbell, 95008. Students who wish to finance their tuition (not fees) can pay a $20 Payment Plan fee and then finance their course over the duration of the quarter (3 payments).

TEXTBOOKS: Textbooks are generally $25 each; this price increases when more than one book is required. Students who plan to graduate are required to purchase the Accordance Bible Software Packet as part of our accreditation. We strongly recommend they do this at least two years before graduation ($450). This requirement is waived if they already have a comparable Bible software program.

STUDENT LOANS: NCBC does not currently participate in federal or state financial aid programs and is not eligible at this time to offer student loans.

PAYMENTS All payments (live, distance or live-streaming) are made through Populi at ncbc.populiweb.com Checks and credit cards can be used to make payments on Populi.

Distance Education and Refund Policy: This institution offers distance educational programs where the instruction is not offered in real-time. A Student can register for these classes and take them in Populi. The institution shall transmit all of the lessons and other materials to the student if the student: (A) has fully paid for the educational program; and (B) after having received the first lesson and initial materials, requests in writing that all of the material be sent. If an institution transmits the balance of the material as the student requests, the institution shall remain obligated to provide the other educational services it agreed to provide, such as responses to student inquiries, student and faculty interaction, and evaluation and comment on lessons submitted by the student, but shall not be obligated to pay any refund after all of the lessons and material are transmitted. A full refund is given if a student withdraws from the course before the course material is transmitted.

1098-T forms: Every January, NCBC will send an electronic version of the 1098-T tax form to all eligible students. An eligible student is an United States resident who paid tuition in the previous calendar year. This tax form reports all tuition collected by the school for the student and scholarships and financial aid paid to the school against that tuition. In order to provide this form to a student in a way that allows the student to use it for their tax filings, we must collect social security numbers from all eligible students. For more information on the 1098-T form, please see the IRS website.

Refund, Cancellation, and Withdrawal Policy

STUDENT’S RIGHT TO CANCEL: You have the right to cancel your agreement for a program of instruction (whether on campus or by distance learning), without any penalty or obligations, through attendance at the first class session or the seventh calendar day after enrollment, whichever is later.

  1. Cancellation may occur when the student provides a written notice of cancellation to the following address: 1799 Winchester Blvd, Campbell, CA 95008. This can be done by mail or by hand delivery.
  2. The written notice of cancellation, if sent by mail, is effective when deposited in the mail properly addressed with proper postage with the postmark date being the effective date of cancellation [CA Ed Code §94911(e); §94919(b)]
  3. The written notice of cancellation need not take any particular form and, however expressed, it is effective if it shows that the student no longer wishes to be bound by the Enrollment Agreement.
  4. If the Enrollment Agreement is canceled, the school will refund the student any money he/she paid, less a registration or administration fee not to exceed $250, within 45 days after the notice of cancellation is received.

Withdrawal from the program: You may withdraw from the school at any time after the cancellation period described above and receive a pro rata refund if you have completed 60 percent or less of the scheduled days in the current payment period in your program through the last day of attendance. The refund will be less any registration or administration fees not to exceed $250, and less any deduction for books and materials not returned in new condition as stated as refundable on the enrollment agreement.  A refund will be made within 45 days of withdrawal.

For the purpose of determining a refund under this section, a student shall be deemed to have withdrawn from a program of instruction when any of the following occurs:

  • The student notifies the institution in writing to 1799 Winchester Blvd, Campbell, CA 95008 of the student’s withdrawal; the date of withdrawal will be the postmarked date.
  • The institution terminates the student’s enrollment for failure to maintain satisfactory progress; failure to abide by the rules and regulations of the institution; and/or failure to meet financial obligations to the School.

For the purpose of determining the refund amount, the “pro rata” refund shall be no less than the total amount owed by the student for the portion of the educational program provided subtracted from the amount paid by the student, calculated as follows: The amount owed equals the daily charge for the program (total institutional charge, divided by the number of days in the program), multiplied by the number of days student attended, or was scheduled to attend, prior to withdrawal.
