    Cathedral of Faith
Horton Youth Center, Room 209, San Jose
    Begins Tuesday, April 10th

    Course Description:

Believers are to grow into "disciples"; disciples are to grow into "disciple-makers."  This entire course is designed to look at the many different facets of what it means to be a true disciple of Jesus Christ.  Most of all, we will talk about how we get there and avoid the common pitfalls.

    The Pastoral Ministry
    Pastor David Sell
    7:00 - 9:00 pm
    Gateway City Church
    Prayer Room, South San Jose
    Begins Tuesday, April 10th

    Course Description:

“The Pastoral Ministry” covers 1 & 2 Timothy and Titus.  This course is not just for ordained ministry; it is designed to help each us address the following pastoral situations that we all face:

    • “How do I effectively share comfort and support to the person God brings across my path who has just lost a loved one, or who just experienced a tragedy in their life?  How do I answer their ‘Why, God?’ questions in a way that is credible?”
    • When people come to me, how can I help them to better ascertain the will of God for their immediate situation?
    • Pastoral ministry is helping people unlock their full potential to achieve their goals and dreams.  When God involves you in that special process, what are some things you need to know?
    • Timing is a huge part of pastoral ministry.  When you minister pastorally to others, you will often have to help them to understand the timing of things.
    • What do you do when the person you are attempting to minister to has a hardened heart, or even falls into the category of being a “scoffer”?  How far do you extend yourself before moving on?

These and other similar questions will be addressed and openly discussed in this provocative course on how to “pastor people.”
